It’s with great pleasure that we’re able to offer to you our first two-year-old for the flat season – and what a nice type of horse he is too. This colt looks well-furnished and ready to do the business in his juvenile season, as did his sire Phoenix Of Spain, who was narrowly beaten in a Group 1 at two and then won the Irish 2,000 Guineas at three. Phoenix Of Spain has made an eye-catching start with his colts, as his first three sons to hit the track all won on their second run. Out of Rococoa, who placed on each of her nine starts, winning twice, we feel this lad has the looks and the pedigree to serve our flat racing fans very nicely.
Owen Burrows has a great record as a trainer and the facilities at his Lambourn yard are impressive, not too far from The Pheasant Inn, a handy racing pub which makes a handy meet-up place for our post-stable visit lunches as well as for local trainers and racing folk. We’ve had a fair amount of interest in him already and he should hit the track next month, so get in touch soon if you’re interested as once we’re full we can work together on naming him.
